Suburban Health Organization and Vantage Healthcare of Ohio partner to improve healthcare quality and reduce cost

November 22, 2024 -- Suburban Health Organization (SHO), an Indiana-based strategic healthcare collaborative consisting of fourteen hospitals, two community health center members and a clinically integrated network, is happy to announce the membership of Vantage Healthcare of Ohio (VHO) as SHO’s first partnership beyond state borders. Vantage Healthcare of Ohio, a coalition of independent northwest Ohio hospitals, has been extended access to Suburban Health Organization’s administrative resources, insurance captive and provider recruitment services. Both organizations will share operational insights, best practices, advocacy efforts, group contracting scale and consolidation opportunities that enhance care efficiency and bring value to their communities.

“SHO and VHO have a high degree of philosophical alignment,” stated Craig Wilson, MD, President and CEO of Suburban Health Organization. “This partnership provides an alternative to mergers and acquisitions, serving the mission of both organizations to maintain the independence of their members through enhanced scale and ‘system-ness’. This is a pivotal moment in our 30th anniversary of facilitating healthcare solutions among our members.”

“VHO is thrilled about this strategic partnership with Suburban Health Organization. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both of our organizations. We believe this partnership will open new doors, foster innovation, and drive mutual growth. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to a successful journey together,” expressed Carly Salamone, President of Vantage Healthcare of Ohio.
